Hi and welcome to Nutrition Refined. I am Petra, a Registered Holistic Nutritionist, Raw Food Chef, and the founder of Nutrition Refined. Since January 2016, this blog has been the place for me to share my knowledge and love for whole, plant-based foods.
My goal is to inspire and empower you to find your healthiest life through nutritional advice and simple, delicious recipes. As the field of nutrition is constantly evolving, so are my thoughts and ideas.
What’s My Diet Like
I am not a raw foodist, vegan, vegetarian, or paleo. I simply love whole food in its purest form. My diet consists of plants – vegetables, fruits, whole grains, legumes, nuts, and seeds. Organic whenever the budget allows. Raw most of the time.
Over the years, I’ve learned what my body needs to feel its best. I know that if I listen to my body, it will take care of itself and be in a perfect state naturally. Counting calories and dieting doesn’t work for me; maintaining internal balance does. I started Nutrition Refined to help you find just that – your inner health so you can look and feel your best.
Why I Do What I Do
I became a Registered Holistic Nutritionist and a Raw Food Chef because I wanted to figure out what foods worked the best for me. Science is constantly revealing new, sometimes conflicting, information about the human body and what it requires to function at its best. I was so confused by all the information out there. I needed somebody to help me make sense out of it. While I learnt a lot during my studies, there’s one thing that I live by every single day – there is no one size fits all diet that works for everyone, only a diet that works for you.
If you choose to listen, your body will tell you exactly what it needs to be healthy. You don’t need to hire a health coach to gain energy, improve your digestion, and have a clearer skin. Your body has the ultimate wisdom you can tap into and find your highest self.
